My name is Clara Woods. I’ve been working as a restorer and conservator for twelve years.
In 2000, I studied with art restorers and conservators in Bratislava, Slovakia at the Galeria mesta Bratislavy. I then opened my own business.
In the past, I have worked as a restorer and conservator for Coeur d’Alene Art Auction and Whitworth University as well as numerous private clients. I worked on a grant funded project to clean, restore and frame over one hundred pieces of art from Whitworth University’s permanent collection. Some of the pieces I personally worked on are by Robert Motherwell, Kenneth Callahan, Edward Keinholtz, Salvador Dali, and Harold Balazs. Also, I have restored paintings by Charlie Russell, Frederic Remington, Sydney Laurence, and many other notable Western American artists.
I clean and restore oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. Repair tears and holes. Re-line canvases.
All work on paper, etchings, engravings, lithographs can be cleaned and restored.
Old photographs and antique frames can also be restored.
Conservation and museum quality framing available.
Letters of recommendation upon request.
There is no charge for an estimate. Price will be given upon examination of the piece.
